# Save YouTube videos

> Yuri saves a YouTube watch link as title and description. He does not download the video file. Transcript and Download stay hidden for that item.

Send Yuri a YouTube watch URL. He keeps the title and description. **He does not download the video.**

## Why is there no transcript?

There is no stored video file, so there is nothing to transcribe. The action menu hides Transcript and Download. Explain, Summary, and the other text actions still run on the title and description.

## Which part of the URL matters?

Yuri keeps the `v=` video id. Extra share parameters are dropped.

## How do I send it?

Paste the watch URL on Telegram, or click Yuri in the row under the title in Chrome.
