# Tags, categories, and search

> Yuri tags and categorizes each link when he saves it. Search and filter those tags later in My Links.

Yuri tags each link when he files it. You do not have to invent a folder first.

## How does tagging work?

At save time Yuri writes a category, tags, and whether the link is actionable. Those fields live with the item. My Links uses them for filters. Telegram's `/saved` list is the ten newest items, not a tag search.

## How do I search?

Open [My Links](/my-links). Type a keyword. Add tag and category filters. The search runs on your library, not on the public web.

## Can I rename Yuri's tags?

Not yet. The tags you see are the ones he wrote when he saved the link.
